Du Bois (Fisk University), Dr. Wilmer Leon ( Hampton University) Dr. Inez Beverly Prosser( Prairie View A & M University) Oprah Winfrey (Tennessee State University) Samuel L. Jackson (MoreHouse College) and many more.
HBCU Facts:
Howard University is home to 5 founding African American Fraternities and Sororities: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc (1908);Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc (1911); Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc (1913); Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc (1914); and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc (1920).
More than 50% of the nation's African American public school teachers and 70% of African American dentists earned degrees at HBCU's.
HBCU's have over a $10.2 billion positive impact on the nations economy.
