College Scholarship - Accepting Applications

The Xi Tau Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2017 year!    

There are 3 different opportunities available.  Please see the flyer for more detail or contact xtoscholarship2017@gmail.com. 

Application deadline is March 31, 2017. 

High Scholastic Achievement Scholarships  

•       be an African-American high school senior, graduating in May from a school in the Greater Kansas City area     

•       have a grade point average of 2.50 or above after the first semester of their senior year  

•       be a citizen of the United States   

•       plan to attend a four-year college or university in the fall of 2017     

Janice L. Perkins Health Career Scholarship  

•       be an African American college student attending the University of Central Missouri with 30 completed college credit hours    

•       have a cumulative grade point average of 2.50 or above, on a 4.00 scale  

•       be a citizen of the United States   

•       be majoring in an allied and associated medical health care field.  This includes, but not limited to pre-med, dental, nursing, social work, counseling, psychology and health administration. 

Frenchye C. Taylor Education & Math Career Scholarship 

•       be an African American college student attending Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO with 30 completed college credit hours    

•       have a cumulative grade point average of 2.50 or above, on a 4.00 scale  

•       be a citizen of the United States  

•       be majoring in an education or math related field.  This includes, but not limited to elementary education, secondary education or mathematics.
