UMKC 10th Annual Women of Color Leadership Conference

Kick off your First Friday by attending the 10th Annual UMKC Women of Color Leadership Conference. Our 2015 theme is “Together We Rise: Ten Years of Paving the Way.”

Our keynote luncheon will feature Lacey Schwartz, CEO of Truth Aid and Director/Producer/Writer of “Little White Lie.” Her work is a documentary that tells her story of growing up in Woodstock, NY, with loving parents and a strong sense of her Jewish identity – despite the questions about how a white girl could have such dark skin. Schwartz earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown University, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and became a member of the New York State Bar. Now, Schwartz wants to share with us her legacy of family secrets, denial, and the power of telling the truth with us. On the evening of June 4^th, she will join conference registrants for a film screening and Q&A session.
