National Night Out is designed to: 1) Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, 2) Generate support for and encourage neighborhood residents to participate in local crime awareness/prevention initiatives, 3) Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnership, and 4) Send a message to criminals that Kansas City neighborhood residents and organizations are determined to end crime and violence in Kansas City’s center-city neighborhoods. This FREE city-wide event will feature a March Against Crime and Rally. Entertainment will be provided by drill teams, youth choirs, and dance groups. There will be activities for youth and lots of good, free food! Bring your lawn chair and plan to stay throughout the evening! |
