De Barker Celebrates 12 years of teaching dance

I will be celebrating 12 years of teaching people how to dance here in Kansas City, Missouri, surrounding areas and even in other cities all over the U.S. There will be instructional workshops, Line Dance performances, 2Steppin and Ballroom Dance Showcasing...Raffles and Door prizes!...Mark your Calenders...This will be a 3-day event - Friday 04/27/10 through Sunday April 29th

To celebrate this…IDWD (http://idwdproductions.com/) is having their yearly big event where we host a dance weekend for all of KC as well as the dance groups from out of town where we visit throughout the year…Detroit, Flint,  Indianapolis, Louisville, Toledo, Chicago, ST. Louis, and ATL. 

We (our dance organization – IDWD) have scheduled a weekend full of dance events.

Friday Night Line Dance Pub Crawl:

1.   The Epi                8:00pm – 9:15pm

2.   Pete’s Place         9:30pm – 10:45pm

3.   BabeeBoys           11:00 – 12:30am

Southeast Community Center Dance workshop

11:30am  - 2:30pm donation just $5.00

a.   where all out of town Dance instructors will teach some of their city’s dances

b.   this workshop is ONLY $5.00 donation

c.   there will be a youth dance workshop lead by The Youth Unyt called Young Deezys...there will also be a R&B Hip Hop performance by a young Dallas artist Wingman performing his new single "Best Bet"

d.   lunch will be available

A 1950’s Sock Hop

This will be held at The KC Event Center at

8625 Troost, Kansas City, MO 64131

This is where you get to dress up as a 50’s character or your group can be a 50’s family or TV show (like The Happy Days family, or Leave it to Beaver Family, The Jetsons,  the Flintstones (lol…Flint), I Love Lucy, Gidget, Patty Duke, Jackie Gleason,  Andy Griffith, Dragnet, Lassie, Father Knows Best, or The Nelsons.
